Branding Guide

Who are you? And who do you want to be?

The idea of "branding" usually makes an artist want to pull their hair out. They want to focus on their art, their music, the thing they make, and not really have to think of anything else.

That's okay! That's why I'm here to help.

Why is branding important?

In this day and age, you often have less than 15 seconds to make an impression on someone. If you want people to hear your music, or buy your product, you need to catch their eye FIRST. What information do you want to try and give off in that 15 seconds? Who do you want to be?

You can have the same group of people, and give off entirely different energies, entirely different messages, and that MATTERS. You want people to get to your music? To your message? To what matters? Then what kind of message do you want to send in that 15 seconds with your image?

Take a look at the difference an image makes in how you feel:

IT MATTERS

What you wear matters, how we work with posing your bodies matter, the lighting matters, the space you're in, it all MATTERS

Just looking through these, all of which happened on the same day, the same photoshoot, you feel completely differently about what you see, and then whatever message that person is trying to get across changes.

What do you want people to think about when they see you?

THE Clothing

Make sure to be intentional about what you wear.

If there's multiple people, do you want to be matching exactly? Do you want to all have the same feel to what you're wearing but let your own individual personalities shine? Do you want to all be dressed entirely apart, but not have it look horrible in photos?

Let's talk about it and get a good idea of how to make what you want happen!

The location

The location heavily matters on the message you want to convey.

What do we have in the space we're in to work on? What do you want the audience to know or learn about you? What kind of lighting do we want to try and discover fits your energy most of all?

What sets you apart from everyone else?

At the end of the day, these images are to help YOU show off what matters most to you. We want to help you get people to listen to your music. We want to get people to look at your art, or to use your service. My goal is to do everything in my power to make the connection happen from someone's screen to YOU.

There's a million and one musicians out there. Or artists, or chefs, or vendors.

But there's only one you.

Let's get people to see that.

Let's get started!
